Vegan Textile Testing

Vegan Textile Product Certificate

Veganism can be defined as a plant-based diet. However, vegan individuals refuse products of animal origin not only in their diet but also in all the products they use. Another sector affected by this situation is the textile sector.

In veganism, textile products using raw materials of animal origin such as animal skin, fur, bone, wool and silk are not used.

Alternative raw materials that can be used in the production of Vegan Textile Products:

- Organic Cotton: It is grown without the use of harmful chemicals, without harming the ecosystem. It dries more easily and is softer compared to wool.
- Linen: Keeps you cooler than linen wool, a durable material that gets softer and stronger with use. It has no allergenic effect. It is both recyclable and biodegradable. It needs less pesticides and fertilizers than other raw materials.
- Seaweed: The product known as Seacell is obtained by combining dried and ground seaweed with cellulose fiber. The porous structure of Seacell textile fibers is a better alternative with its structure that keeps warm in winter and cool in summer.
- Wood: It is a biodegradable, recyclable product obtained from wood pulp called Lyocell, which is environmentally friendly. Lyocell is soft and can be used in imitation of textile products such as suede and leather.
- Beech Wood Fiber: They are artificial silks obtained from beech wood fibers, also called modal. Fabrics made from beech wood fibers are shiny, soft and smooth.
- Hemp: Fabrics made from hemp that can be grown easily without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers; biodegradable, breathable linen-like fabrics.
- Soybeans: The fabric, also called "Herbal Cashmere", produced from a by-product obtained during the processing of soybeans, keeps it bright like silk, durable like cotton, warm and comfortable like cashmere.
- Recycled Polyester (rPET): Also known as recycled polyethylene terephthalate. A soft and warm fabric is obtained from recycled plastic bottles compared to wool.
